“Forbidden Dream” a collaboration with long time friend and bandmate, Josh Taylor and is the first single off Benny’s new EP: “The Grand Escape.” You can hear a synthesis of motown-inspired rhythm section arrangements juxtaposed with psych rock leaning harmony and sound design. You can hear Ben’s personality on every side of this music, the playing, the singing, the songwriting, the production and mixing. Josh Taylor adds his laid back artistic voice to the mix, rounding out an emotive duet between two great friends. It’s powerfully moving when great artists fully express themselves and on “Forbidden Dream,” that magic is palpable.
